A Qatar Airways and Boeing announced today The carrier will purchase up to 210 widebody jets, setting new records as the largest widebody order for Boeing, including the largest order for 787 Dreamliners and Qatar Airways’ largest order to date. This purchase, which also includes additional orders for Boeing’s new 777-9, will approximately 400.000 U.S. jobs and position the award-winning Middle Eastern airline for further international expansion.
The order includes
- 130 787 Dreamliners, ten orders were previously recorded as unidentified.
- 30 777-9s, the world's largest twin-engine airplane, designed to set new standards in efficiency by reducing fuel use and emissions by 25 percent compared to the airplanes it replaces,
- Options for 50 more 787 and 777X aircraft.
