At the end of the afternoon this Saturday (21), one of the runways at Brasília Airport will be transformed into a street race track. Around 2,7 athletes will participate in the Flying Run Sunset 2024, a sports competition with 7km, 14km and 21km courses. This is the 3rd edition of the event that offers participants a unique and exclusive experience, this time at sunset in the federal capital.
The race area is limited to athletes who will be participating in the competition, but anyone who wants to attend the event and watch the runners start and finish can stay in the concentration arena. There will be several activities in the space, such as a DJ, massage tent, band and exhibition of Brazilian Air Force aircraft. The AeroBSB Store, a store of the brand at Brasília Airport in partnership with Verdurão, will have a stand with exclusive race products for sale, as well as t-shirts and keychains with an aviation theme.
At the end of the event, Inframerica, the terminal , is preparing a closing party at Praça Pick Up, a complex in front of the airport. In addition to discounts at commercial establishments, the public will be able to enjoy the post-race event, with a DJ, band and live music. Parking will be free until midnight.
Flying Run Caixa is organized by Brasília Airport and Nosotros Live Marketing, presented by Caixa Econômica Federal and the Federal Government of Brazil, sponsored by TFSports and Track & Field and with institutional from the Brazilian Air Force.
Airport Operation
Brasília Airport operations continue as normal. The terminal has two runways and, during the event, landings and takeoffs will continue regularly on runway 11L29R, with no impact on engers with flights scheduled on that date.
