JK Airport, managed by Inframerica, ranked fourth in the world in the medium-sized category, which handles between 10 and 15 million engers per year. Throughout 2023, 108.758 flights were on time, meaning that 86,62% of all flights for the year took off on time. The federal capital's air terminal is second only to the airports of Osaka in Japan, Tocumen in Panama and Lima in Peru.

This analysis also indicates that Brasília Airport is the most punctual in Brazil. “This result is the result of t and synergistic work between all bodies and companies at the airport”, says Josmario Brito, Operations Superintendent at Inframerica.

Brasília Airport is the third busiest in the country and is one of the main flight connection centers (hubs) in Brazil. Around 45% of engers are connecting. “The punctuality of our operations is very important for the country’s air network. Making flights leave on time guarantees an integrated network, avoiding cascading delays at other airports”, explains Brito.

The infrastructure and istration of the Brasilia terminal are important to maintain punctuality. “We have two runways and carry out simultaneous operations, both on the runways and at exits from aircraft parking positions. All the work so that engers and aircraft carry out the procedure on time is worked in a very collaborative way between all teams. Ground team, Control Tower, yard inspectors, airlines, Operations Center operators, all work together with one objective: maintaining safety standards and flight punctuality”, he concludes.
