The airlines GOL, LATAM Brasil, VOE and ITAPEMIRIM, of the Brazilian Association of Airlines (ABEAR), adopted mandatory vaccination against Covid-19 for all employees, with the aim of expanding health protocols to guarantee safety and well-being of all engers and employees.
There are different deadlines for implementing this measure between each company, but in general the rule starts to apply by the end of 2021.
“This is an important initiative to ensure the health safety of all employees and, consequently, engers. ABEAR associates will carry out an internal work to mobilize and raise awareness of the importance of immunization. It is also one more measure to provide a consistent resumption of the sector, which crowns a series of actions in the sector during the pandemic: we have already transported 200 million vaccines free of charge, 7,5 thousand health professionals and repatriated 42 thousand Brazilians who were prevented from returning to Brazil right at the beginning of the closing of borders, among other initiatives”, says the president of ABEAR, Eduardo Sanovicz.
