Confins Airport expands offer of extra flights in March

With significant growth in travel demand, Confins Airport (BH Airport) will receive an increase in flight frequency during the month of March, with emphasis on the Holy Week holiday. Between March 28th and April 1st, 139,1 engers are expected to through the terminal. The busiest day will be Monday, April 1, when approximately 34 engers are expected.

To meet this demand, airlines are reinforcing their operations at BH Airport. During the period, Azul will have 49 extra flights, Gol will add 33 flights and Latam Airlines will include four additional flights in its airport network. The most popular destinations among engers and which will receive this increase in flights include Porto Seguro (BA), Maceió (AL), Belém (PA), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Salvador (BA) and Florianópolis (SC).

 

Growth in movement

During the month of March, the airport is expected to receive a total of 8,4 thousand aircraft operations, representing a significant growth of 5,4% compared to the same period in 2023. Approximately 924 thousand engers are expected during the month, which represents an increase of 7,7% compared to March last year.

Furthermore, Gol confirmed and has already put on sale the seasonal flight to Buenos Aires, which will return on July 6th. SKY Airline, which will begin operations on the Belo Horizonte-Santiago route in June, announced the increase in equipment, replacing the A320neo with the modern A321neo, an aircraft with more seats and more sustainable.

In total, during the month of March, BH Airport will connect Belo Horizonte to 59 national and international destinations, offering engers a wide variety of travel options.

According to a survey carried out by the National Civil Aviation Secretariat of the Ministry of Ports and Airports (MPOR), BH Airport came in 3rd place in the satisfaction survey carried out during Carnival. The airport achieved a score of 4,61 on a scale that goes up to 5, above the average of 4,41. The data reinforces BH Airport's commitment to offering quality services, which were attested during a period of high movement at the terminal. The survey was carried out between the 9th and 18th of February with 3.345 s and covered 48 parameters related to the processes and services to which engers are subjected.
