Congonhas Airport has 115 flights cancelled due to the strong storm that hit the city of São Paulo in the late afternoon of Thursday the 28th.
Some flights were transferred to Guarulhos Airport, causing unexpectedly strong traffic in Guarulhos.
Despite the normalization of landing and takeoff operations on Thursday night, the airport lobby remains crowded this morning, with long lines of engers seeking to rebook canceled flights. Many spent the night in the terminal without accurate information about their departures.
On Thursday, 37 departures and 35 arrivals were cancelled. So far this Friday, 15 departures and 28 arrivals have been cancelled, totalling 115 flights affected. Airlines recommend that engers check with their airlines before heading to the airport.
