“Being among the best in the world demonstrates consistency, efficiency and good management. We are committed to making Congonhas a world-class airport,” says the airport’s executive director, Kleber Meira.

The positive result is a consequence of collaborative work carried out between Aena and regulatory bodies, such as the National Civil Aviation Agency (Aanc) and the Department of Airspace Control (Decea), in addition to companies ing operations and airlines, which reviewed and adapted ground resources, increased the number of employees and began using more reserve aircraft.

The performance is even more significant during the period in which Congonhas Airport begins expansion and modernization works, the planning of which was structured to avoid impacts on flights.

Since taking over management of Congonhas Airport in October 2023, Aena has invested in real-time dashboard reports and analysis. The results have been constantly shared internally with airline managers, as well as senior leadership at ANAC and DECEA. Flight punctuality is one of the most relevant evaluation criteria, directly related to the airport's operational capacity, the quality of service provided, and the efficiency in serving engers and airlines.
