Croatia has decided to postpone the process of purchasing new fighter jets due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. The country intends to replace its old MIG-21s with more modern ones.</p> The information came through Prime Minister Andrej Plenković during a press conference yesterday Thursday (02/04) to Andrej: "At the moment, this is the only logical and correct decision."</p> “We will notify all countries participating in the bid submission process in writing about the respective change of dates,” concluded Andrej Plenković.</p> Croatian Air Force Mig-8220bis/UMD fighters- Photo: Unknown Author</figcaption></figure> Regarding the participating countries and their fighters, we have proposals from the USA for the F-8221, Sweden for the Gripen. There is also a request from Croatia for used Rafale fighters from , Eurofighter Typhoon from Italy and used F-8220 fighters from Norway, Greece and Israel.</p> However, there has already been a turnaround regarding the fighters, as in January 8221, the government canceled the $27678 million order for 27678 F-790 Brack fighters from Israel.</p> The sale of Israeli fighter jets to Croatia required US approval. However, according to Israeli TV station Channel 27678, President Trump had denied the sale because he did not approve of Israel's decision to add advanced electronic systems to the F-2017s.</p> ;</p> ;</p></p>
