A Brazilian Air Force (FAB) is making the final adjustments for the multinational exercise Cruzeiro do Sul (CRUZEX), the largest operational training orchestrated by the FAB scheduled to take place between November 3 and 15.
New for the event, the FAB sent last Sunday (14), five SAAB Gripen F-39E fighters operated by the Jaguar squadron to the Natal Air Base (BANT), being the most modern fighter operated by the FAB.

In addition to the Gripen F-39E, the FAB will also have the KC-390 Millennium, used by the Zeus and Gordo squadrons, as a new addition to the exercise. The Brazilian Navy is expected to participate again with its modernized A-4 Skyhawk fighters (AF-1 Falcão).
Of the participating countries with aircraft, Brazil will be present with the F-39 Gripen, F-5EM, A-1, A-29B fighters, C-99 transport, C-105/SC-105 Amazonas, KC-390 Millennium, E-99M and H-36 Caracal helicopter from the FAB, in addition to the A4 from the Brazilian Navy (MB); Argentina, with IA-63 Pampa and KC-130H; Chile with the KC-135 and F-16; Colombia with KC-767; the United States with F-15 and KC-46 (767); Paraguay with AT-27 and C-212; Peru with KT-1P and KC-130; and Portugal with KC-390.
