The E-Freighter made its maiden flight in April 2024 and its first public display took place in July 2024, during the Farnborough Airshow in the United Kingdom.

“EASA certification is an important milestone in our enger-to-freighter conversion program and we are excited about this market. We have developed the perfect aircraft to meet the market demands, meeting the global need for faster deliveries, not only to metropolitan areas, but to all regions. The E-Jets are a global success with a strong presence around the world. We are ready to offer an excellent solution to our customers worldwide,” said Martyn Holmes, Chief Commercial Officer, Embraer Commercial Aviation.

The E-Jets freighters will have 40% more volume capacity and three times more range than larger turboprop freighters, while operating costs are up to 30% lower than narrowbody aircraft. Combining the upper and lower cargo compartments, the E190F’s maximum structural payload is 13.150 kg.
