The E190-E2 and E195-E2 jets were already certified between 2018 and 2019 by three important international civil aviation authorities – FAA (USA), EASA (Europe) and ANAC (Brazil).

“We are pleased with the certification of our E2 family jets and thank CAAS for their thorough evaluation,” says Raul Villaron, Vice President of Embraer Commercial Aviation in Asia-Pacific. “This is another milestone achieved during our work to have the E190-E2 take off in 2024 in Scoot colors.”

“The certification of the E190-E2 and E195-E2 by CAAS is an important milestone for Scoot. This reinforces our commitment to operating a modern, fuel-efficient fleet and enables us to further expand the travel options offered to our customers. As the first Singaporean airline to operate E2 jets, we aim to improve connectivity in Asia and the development of Singapore as a regional hub,” said Leslie Thng, CEO of Scoot.

The E190-E2 and E195-E2 jets were designed based on the 20 million hours of experience accumulated with the first generation of E-Jets, ensuring that E2 aircraft are modern and advanced, while maintaining the aircraft's maturity and reliability. of the previous generation. The first generation of E-Jets represents one of the most successful commercial aviation programs in the industry, currently operating with more than 80 airlines in more than 50 countries.

Recently, Embraer and CAE announced the opening of a new, advanced full flight simulator (FFS) in Singapore, in addition to a pilot training program beginning at the end of the year. The FFS will be located at the CAE Flight Training Center, which is part of the SIA Training Center.
