Embraer announced today a significant reinforcement of its commitment to India through the establishment of a subsidiary in the country with a corporate office in AeroCity, New Delhi. This strategic decision underscores Embraer’s long-term vision for growth and potential collaboration with India’s rapidly evolving aerospace and defense landscape.

The creation of a subsidiary in India aims to strengthen its operations in defense, commercial and executive aviation, services & , and the growing urban air mobility sector. Embraer is working to expand its team in the country, strengthening its capacity to pursue opportunities in a constantly evolving aerospace and defense sector. This includes establishing teams in corporate functions and specialized departments focused on procurement, supply chain and engineering.

Embraer is significantly strengthening its engagement in India and already has a relevant presence in the country, with approximately 50 aircraft and 11 different models in operation in the commercial, defense and executive aviation segments — all ed by its local service and network.

Embraer’s growth in the country also underscores the strengthening of ties between Brazil and India, with Embraer’s expansion in the region reflecting a shared commitment to deeper collaboration and mutual growth. Embraer’s involvement in India, including participation in the IATA 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) in New Delhi, highlights the company’s strategic focus on the Indian market and continued efforts to engage with key stakeholders across the aviation ecosystem.

The announcement follows Embraer’s recent strategic initiatives in India, such as the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in February 2024 with Mahindra Defence Systems. The agreement foresees potential t operations on the Indian Air Force’s Medium Transport Aircraft (MTA) program, through the C-390 Millennium.
