Embraer develops its supply chain in Morocco

An Embraer delegation has concluded an official visit to Morocco to assess the country’s aerospace supply chain. The initiative follows a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recently signed between the Government of Morocco and Embraer to explore potential t projects.

Embraer has identified significant opportunities for business and industrial collaboration, as both Brazil and the Kingdom of Morocco are committed to deepening cooperation and investment between the countries. These opportunities include commercial aviation, defense and urban air mobility.

“Morocco has a rapidly growing aerospace industry and we have identified key suppliers with the potential to integrate into our global supply chain,” said Roberto Chaves, Embraer Executive Vice President, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. “We believe there are opportunities to generate mutual benefits, both in the short and long term, through innovation and economic growth in both countries.”

Morocco’s aerospace industry has demonstrated strong capabilities in areas such as aerostructures, machining, sheet metal work and composites. Embraer has selected Morocco as its preferred regional partner to build a robust supply chain program.

Cooperation could also include training programs, capacity building for MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) activities and other areas of potential collaboration such as Research and Technology.
