In its third-quarter results, Embraer reported a strong increase in aircraft deliveries, driven by the good performance of the Executive Jets segment. On October 18, 2024, the manufacturer reported that its overall deliveries increased 33% compared to the same period in 2023, or 24% compared to the second quarter of last year.
57 aircraft were delivered in the third quarter of 2024: 16 commercial and 41 executive jets.
The increase in private jet deliveries exceeded 45% compared to the previous year and reached 50% compared to the third quarter of 2023. Together, the models Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 represented 19 deliveries, almost half of the total, while the Phenom 300 led with 18 jets delivered.
In the third quarter, Embraer delivered two C-390 aircraft Millennium for its Defense and Security division, with Hungary receiving its first aircraft and Brazil its seventh. The backlog Embraer's total revenue reached US$22,7 billion, the largest increase of US$1,5 billion recorded in the Defense and Security sector. In the commercial jet segment, the company delivered 12 E2 aircraft and four E1 aircraft, an increase of 5% compared to the previous year.
With Virgin Australia placing a firm order for eight E190-E2s, Embraer’s total commercial aircraft order backlog reached US$11,1 billion in the third quarter.
