Embraer announced today that LOTAMS will become Europe’s first Embraer Authorized Service Center (EASC) for the E2 family of aircraft, following completion of the authorization and audit process conducted by the Polish Civil Aviation Authority. LOTAMS, one of Europe’s leading maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) service providers, has bases throughout Poland and serves some of the world’s largest airlines. LOTAMS will be the first EASC in Europe for the E2 jets, providing routine checks; scheduled and unscheduled maintenance; and component repairs.
After 10 years of collaboration, Embraer and LOTAMS formalized their MRO relationship in 2012, with LOTAMS becoming an Embraer Authorized Service Center for ERJ-145 and first-generation E-Jets. Since then, LOTAMS has serviced Embraer E-Jets for airlines across Europe, averaging 250.000 hours/year in heavy and line maintenance checks – accumulating around three million hours to date. With its significant service volume, LOTAMS is one of the leading MROs in Europe for Embraer jets, with five dedicated E-Jets maintenance positions and plans to add more to the growing E2 fleet in the region.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to participate in this project and for the certification of our facilities as an Embraer Authorized Service Center for the E2 jets. This project is a continuation of the long-standing cooperation established since the inception of LOTAMS. With the certification process completed, we are ready to provide maintenance services for the E2 fleet throughout Europe,” said Ewa Kołowiecka, CEO of LOTAMS.
“Our collaboration with LOTAMS spans decades, resulting in millions of hours of high-quality work. The approval of LOTAMS as the first Embraer Authorized Service Center qualified to service the E2 jets in Europe is the fruit of our strong and long-standing relationship. We welcome LOTAMS and look forward to starting maintenance of the E2 fleet in the Polish capital,” said Carlos Naufel, President and CEO, Embraer Services & .
