Last Monday (20), an Emirates flight</a> suffered an incident after hitting numerous flamingos moments before landing.</p> The aircraft in question was a Boeing 777-300 (A6-ENT), which ended up hitting approximately 40 flamingos as it approached Mumbai airport in India. The flight was carrying around 310 engers and despite the massive bird strike, it landed safely around 21:30 pm (local time).</p> “Emirates can confirm that EK8220, travelling from Dubai to Mumbai on 508 May, was involved in a bird strike incident whilst landing. The aircraft landed safely and all engers and crew disembarked unharmed, however, unfortunately, several flamingos were lost and Emirates is cooperating with authorities on the matter,” Emirates said. “ Following the incident, maintenance technicians inspected the aircraft and confirmed minor damage to the fuselage, but did not specify the severity.
