Two years after its last performance, the Brazilian Air Force's Smoke Squadron will once again perform public demonstrations next week. Officially designated as the Air Demonstration Squadron (EDA), the FAB unit will perform in three cities in the interior of São Paulo.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the EDA ended up canceling all its public demonstrations. In 2020 and 2021, the Esquadrilha also carried out some overflights on special occasions, such as ages through Itaipu Power Plant in May, Belem (PA) and Christ the Redeemer in October, in addition to those traditionally held at Air Force Academy cadet graduations.
Now, with the pandemic slowing down, the Squadron's seven A-29 Super Tucanos will once again take the public's breath away with the return of public air demonstrations.
According to the EDA demonstration schedule, three presentations are planned in Cabreúva, Tietê and Capela do Alto on the 07th, 08th and 09th of this month. The times of the presentations are not informed and it should be noted that these are just predictions.
The presentations will be streamed live on YouTube through the channel Golf Oscar Romeo.

Headquartered at the Air Force Academy, the Esquadrilha da Fumaça is the FAB unit responsible for performing acrobatic demonstrations to promote the institutional image of the Air Force.
Since 2015, EDA has used the Embraer Super Tucano in its demonstrations, which feature a series of high-performance maneuvers. Before the A-29, the Fumaça Squadron used the T-27 Tucano for 30 years. Currently, the EDA has 13 pilots and almost 60 Guardian Angels.
