The Esquadrilha da Fumaça, the Air Force squadron responsible for aerial presentations, will return to its international presentations this month. The Esquadrilha's 7 A-29 aircraft will stop in two countries, Chile and Argentina, from March 29th to April 07th.
To start off in full force, the stage for the first demonstrations is the largest civil and military aviation event in Latin America and the southern hemisphere, the International Air and Space Fair – known as FIDAE, held in Santiago, Chile. There, there will be three days of presentations, between April 01st and 03rd, under the watchful eye of the local and world public, in addition to a program that includes air shows with the High Acrobatics group of the Chilean Air Force, the Halcones.
In all, there will be 8 Embraer A-29 Super Tucano aircraft and 39 of the Fumaça Squadron, including Pilot Officers, from the areas of Specialization in Aircraft, Medicine and Communication, in addition to Graduates Specialists in Aircraft Maintenance, going on the tour. In addition to logistics, the preparation includes specific training for demonstrations in another country and adaptation of the soundtrack and voiceover to the local language.
According to Captain Wander, an exclusive demonstration for FIDAE was developed. “We have two sequences of 20 and 25 minutes, which vary according to the weather at the time of the flight. In all, the audience will be able to watch around 30 maneuvers in each of our presentations”, guarantees the Captain Aviator.
“To begin with, the amount of equipment displaced is much greater than in presentations within Brazil. The logistics itself already requires an efficient coordination of tasks due to the number of people involved, even with the small team that goes with us on the tour”, explains Aviator Captain Cleryson Wander Teixeira, Right Wing of the formation.
The final stop of the Air Demonstration Squadron (EDA) this season outside Brazil will be in Córdoba, the Argentine city where the country's Military Aviation School is located, where the last demonstration will take place on Tuesday (05), before returning to Pirassununga ( SP).
