From June 2024, Brasília Airport will have direct flights to Santiago, Chile, and two airlines will fly the route. Currently, engers can fly from the Brasilia terminal to six destinations abroad. They are: Lisbon, Panama, Miami, Orlando, Lima and Buenos Aires.
The Chilean low-cost company Sky Airline and LATAM will travel between the capitals. LATAM starts flying on June 1st and Sky on June 16th. Both companies will operate three direct weekly flights.
The LATAM flight from Brasília-Santiago will be operated on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, taking off at 8:50 am, on board Airbus A320 (174 engers) and A321 (220 engers) aircraft. The airline had already operated flights from Brasília to the destination, but suspended the route in March 2020, following the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic and international health restrictions.
With great connectivity at Brasília Airport, engers from different regions of the country can fly to Santiago connecting via LATAM in the federal capital. The airline has an average of 67 flights per day to 32 other airports.
Sky Airline debuts its operation in the Brasilia market with a low-cost proposal and competitive prices. Sky will have operations on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, departing from Brasília at 18:40 pm. The company will use an Airbus A320neo model plane, with capacity for 186 engers. The company is expected to operate a direct flight from Brasília during the high winter season, from June to September 2024.
The flight between Brasília and Santiago lasts around four hours.
