GOL Linhas Aéreas began operating the inaugural flights of its latest international route on Tuesday (4): Brasília (BSB)-Bogotá (BOG), with the presence of authorities and executives from the sector, both at Juscelino Kubitschek International Airport, in the Federal District, and at El Dorado International Airport, in the Colombian capital. On this date, the Company's three weekly direct operations begin, round trip, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. On March 30, flights will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays, at the same times (see table below).
The inaugural ribbon cutting of flight G3 8242, which left Brasília at 8:50 am this Wednesday (4) and landed in Bogotá at 12:22 pm, was attended by Renata Fonseca, Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and director of Government and Institutional Relations of the Company, as well as Danillo Barbizan, director of Sales Channels, Alberto Fajerman, advisor to the Presidency, and Felippe Bandeira Ramos Coelho, manager of Institutional Relations, all from GOL.

Several authorities also participated in the ceremony in Brasília, including Guillermo Rivera, Colombian ambassador to Brazil, Marcelo Freixo, president of Embratur, Carmen Caballero, president of ProColombia, Colombia's tourism agency, Cristiano Araujo, Secretary of Tourism for the Federal District, Juan Djedjeian, director of Corporate Affairs at Inframerica, and Daniel Dumaresq, manager of Air Business at Inframerica.
The new BSB-BOG route meets the growing demand for the transportation of engers, cargo and e-commerce between Brazil and Colombia, and is a stimulus to trade, tourism and wealth generation in both nations.
GOL opened its operations in Bogotá in early April 2024, with flights from Guarulhos/São Paulo (GRU) and Buenos Aires/Ezeiza (EZE). From this month onwards, flights to Colombia – one of the main economic centers of the continent – will be concentrated in Brasília. This new operation strengthens Brasília Airport as an important hub for GOL, which is consolidated as the largest operator of international flights in the federal capital, where it already has flights to Miami (MIA), Orlando (MCO), Buenos Aires (EZE and AEP) and Cancún (CUN).
Since October 29, 2024, Colombia has stopped requiring Brazilians to have the international yellow fever vaccination card for entry into the country.

Customers from Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo will be able to board flights at the cities' central airports (Santos Dumont and Congonhas) and make a connection in the Federal District to continue to Bogotá.
In Bogotá, engers have access to connections to more than 50 destinations operated by partner Avianca, such as Cartagena, Quito, Medellín, Lima, Barranquilla, Mexico City, Cali, Guayaquil, San Andrés, Curaçao, San Salvador, Guatemala City, Panama City and Santo Domingo, among others.
