To mark the launch of the new Shopping Smiles, the company now has a stylized Boeing 737-800 with registration number PR-GXP. The painting process was carried out in the hangar of GOL Aerotech, a business unit specialized in maintenance, repairs and overhauls of aircraft and components, which is located at Confins airport (BH).
The plane was developed to reflect the mall's new identity and celebrate the current phase of the platform, which has undergone a rebranding, bringing the following concept: “at Shopping Smiles, everyone is a traveler” — as all your purchases turn into miles for you closer to your next trip, in addition to bringing visual elements that resemble the outline of an airplane window, reinforcing Smiles' essence of making customers travel more and more. The plane also features the colors of the new Shopping Smiles palette, including orange, pink and yellow, bringing an air of modernity, dynamism and energy.
The design involved a team of more than 30 professionals and the art was developed by GOL's Creative Hub, in a customization process that took around 12 days to complete. “Presenting the aircraft with the Shopping Smiles theme is very gratifying. This plane comes to highlight our presence in the market, strengthen the visibility of our marketplace, connecting people in an innovative and memorable way. It has a visual identity with the Smiles and GOL logos and represents the real connection between brands and travelers, in addition to reinforcing the new moment of our marketplace”, concludes Tonon.
Most searched and redeemed products on the platform
Smiles also sought to understand Shopping Smiles customer behavior for the update. According to Tonon, in 2023, the most purchased and searched products on the platform were smartphones, followed by household appliances, TVs and small appliances. IT items, housewares and beauty products also appeared on the list. “It is worth highlighting that in addition to a vast portfolio of products, customers can also use their miles for services such as Uber, hotel reservations, car rental, fuel, among others”, adds Tonon.
