With the intention of improving the storage and preparation of cargo for flights, GOLLOG, the logistics unit of GOL Linhas Aéreas, now has a Cargo Terminal (TECA) inside the Navegantes International Airport (NVT), in Santa Catarina.
During the inauguration event, Mr. Liba Fronza, Mayor of Navegantes, Sadi Peixoto da Silva, Superintendent of Navegantes Airport, Werner Diertterle, President of the Navegantes Business Association, as well as representatives of the Management of handling and the Directorate of Public Relations for the Airport, Customers and Suppliers of the Navegantes base.
According to Valderlei Cirico, local franchisee, the Navegantes and Blumenau bases together move approximately 180 tons per month and, for this reason, it was necessary to double the terminal space, which allowed GOLLOG to meet all demand in the region.
According to Karen Vilefort, GOLLOG franchise, product and digital manager, the change of location of TECA in Navegantes will bring benefits and convenience to the entire operation, “GOLLOG is the only logistics unit with a Cargo Terminal located within Navegantes airport . This difference allows us greater agility in receiving and removing cargo, using a leveling dock with a structure optimized for large volumes of palletized cargo,” she commented. In total, GOLLOG has 59 TECAs that assist in the loading and unloading of various cargo.
