São Paulo International Airport, in Guarulhos, recorded the movement of 235,6 thousand tons of international cargo in the first six months of 2024. Of this total, 127,8 thousand tons represent imported items. Exports totaled 107,8 thousand tons handled.
In the month of June, 42,3 thousand tons of international cargo were handled at the concessionaire's logistics terminals, of which 23,7 thousand tons represent imported items. Exports moved 18,6 thousand tons.

The terminal is consolidating itself as the main logistics terminal for international cargo, with 56% of the air market in the first half of 2024, and is also responsible for 55% of all nationalized imports via air transport, while exports totaled 57%.
In the month of June, the market share of the imported volume was 59%, while that of the exported volume was 58%.
Among the most transported products are those from the automotive segment (22%), pharmaceuticals (17%), machinery (16%) and electronics (9%) of imported and nationalized cargo at TECA GRU.
Route network
São Paulo International Airport received the operation of 40 airlines in June 2024.
Of the 37 that operated regularly, six served the domestic market (four flew simultaneously with cargo and engers and three of them also on international routes; and two transported exclusively cargo). The other 31 companies only made international flights, including six with exclusively cargo aircraft.
The Cargo Terminal at São Paulo International Airport is the largest airport complex in the country, totaling an area of approximately 190 thousand m² bonded, with 100 thousand m² operated by GRU Airport and 90 thousand m² managed by third parties. The terminal houses the largest refrigerated complex at airports in Brazil, with around 33 thousand m³ of import and export storage capacity. The 24 cold rooms cover all temperature variations. In addition, TECA has 440 positions for refrigerated containers for imports.
