GRU Airport, the concessionaire that manages São Paulo International Airport, in Guarulhos, recorded the movement of 28,9 thousand tons of cargo in April 2024. Of this total, 13,4 thousand tons represent imported items, of which 213 tons of loads processed in international express shipping warehouses. Exports totaled 15,5 thousand tons handled, of which 197 tons were express shipments outside Brazil. These numbers do not include the operation that is processed directly at the Correios Cargo Warehouse.

Guarulhos airport is the main logistics terminal for international cargo, with a 52% market share of the air market in April 2024. In the same period it was responsible for 46% of all imports via air transport, while exports totaled 58%.
In the first four months of the year, the market share of imported volume was 43% and that of exported volume was 62%.
Among the most transported products are those from the automotive segment with 25%, pharmaceuticals with 18%, machinery with 15% and electronics with 9%.
Route network
In April, São Paulo International Airport had 40 airlines operating. Of these, 37 airlines operated regularly, seven of which served the domestic market and 30 the international market. And 3 carried out non-scheduled cargo flights.
Among the seven companies with national operations, four offer mixed flights (cargo and engers) and, among them, three also operate international flights (LATAM, Gol and Azul). The other three were dedicated exclusively to cargo movement.
There were 30 companies operating exclusively regular international flights, six of which operated cargo flights (Qatar, Ethiopian, Turkish, Emirates Lufthansa and Atlas).
During this period, the airport received three airlines that carried out non-scheduled cargo flights: Terra Avia, Paranair and Cargolux.
