GRU Airport will hold the first blood donation campaign of 2025 at Guarulhos Airport on April 22 and 23. From 9 am to 15 pm, the airport community and engers circulating through the airfield will be able to participate. Held in partnership with Fundação Pró-Sangue, the action will take place in the Check-in B auditorium, located on the Mezzanine of Terminal 2.
“This is the sixth collection action made possible by GRU Airport. In 2024, 267 blood bags were collected, which have the capacity to help more than 1 people. Forming this partnership and involving the airport community is a source of great pride for GRU,” says Georges Chaoubah, director of operations for the transaction.
Those interested must meet the criteria of being in good health, between 16 and 69 years old (for minors, consult the Pró-Sangue website), weigh more than 50 kg, have no flu-like symptoms and bring an original ID with a recent photo. It is important that the donor has eaten, and there is no need to fast to carry out the action. It is only recommended to avoid fatty foods in the four hours before donating and to avoid consuming alcoholic beverages for 12 hours. Those who donate will also be allowed two hours of parking.
It is important to note that people traveling to Brazilian states with a high prevalence of malaria or other endemic countries must wait 30 days after returning to donate.
