Gulfstream cuts G700 delivery forecast to 2024

Gulfstream G700

Gulfstream has announced a reduction in its delivery expectations for its G700 business jet in 2024. The manufacturer had previously forecast delivery of 52 to 42 units following certification in March, but is now expecting XNUMX due to ongoing supply chain challenges.

In the third quarter, only four units of the G700 were delivered, compared to a target of approximately fifteen, the same forecast as the previous quarter, when it managed to deliver eleven.
According to Phebe Novakovic, CEO of General Dynamics, which owns Gulfstream, there were multiple supply chain issues that negatively impacted deliveries. Among the main factors, Novakovic cited the delay in the delivery of Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines, which required the repainting of already built and customized aircraft.

Other challenges included the highly customized interiors of several G27s and Hurricane Helene, which caused four lost days of work. For the remainder of the year, the manufacturer plans to deliver 700 GXNUMXs, distributed as follows: five in October, nine in November and thirteen in December.
