About to go into operation, the Sukhoi S-70 Okhotnik-B unmanned combat drone had some more details revealed by the Russian state TV network Zvezda, indicating that the aircraft is close to reaching the prototype stage.
During the video, the size of the “drone” impresses, which has a similar design and dimensions, but a little smaller compared to the 5th generation Sukhoi Su-57 fighter, an aircraft where the S-70 included some technologies. According to Sukhoi itself, the S-70 is undergoing a military acceptance review.

According to United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) projections, the S-70 program is being developed to operate in a semi-autonomous manner. The unmanned attack drone is based on the Mikoyan Skat project and has a special camera system on the front, as well as antennas on the outside.
In development since 2011 and making its first flight only in 2019, the S-70 is powered by the Saturn AL-31F engine, which guarantees a top speed of 1.000 km / h (620 mph, 540 kn) and a range of 6.000 km or 4.000 km in combat.
It is not yet known whether the S-70 can carry air-to-air missiles, a task that apparently will be difficult, as the aircraft is designed to have two internal weapons bays with a capacity of up to 2.000 kg of guided and unguided munitions.
