Linhares Regional Airport now has the expertise and efficiency of Infraero Aeroportos. The Company and the Government of Espírito Santo, through the State Department for Mobility and Infrastructure (Semobi), signed this Thursday (24/8) a contract for the management and operation of the terminal.
The services to be provided by Infraero include the management of routine tasks essential to the operation of the airport, as well as meeting the requirements established in current legislation and regulations. Infraero will be responsible for activities such as airport security, training, Operational Security, cleaning and conservation, maintenance, environmental services and Information Technology, among others.
It will also take over the airport operation, which includes actions such as inspection, inspection and inspection, and will work on the development of the commercial area, focusing on the commercialization and identification of internal and external areas. Infraero will also carry out a complete technical diagnosis of the situation at the airport and dialogue with the entities that make up the civil aviation system in order to leverage local operations. The period for providing the services is 12 months, which may be extended up to a limit of 60 months.
For the president of Infraero, Rogério Barzellay, this partnership demonstrates the commitment of both parties to the strengthening of regional aviation in the State. “Infraero knows the challenges of operating and managing airports and has highly qualified teams that will provide all the technical to the State Government for the development of Linhares Airport”, he highlighted.
The governor of Espírito Santo, Renato Casagrande, emphasizes the importance of this new achievement. “Linhares Airport is an important development instrument for the North Region of the State. We carried out work on the runway in partnership with the Union, built the enger terminal and installed the PAPI so that we could fly jet planes. Now, under Infraero's management, we are certain that Linhares Airport will develop even further so that we can receive commercial flights. The North Region has become attractive for large industries and the airport is coming at this time to bring more growth, ease of access, in addition to increasing local tourism in this region that has beautiful beaches and lagoons,” he said.
About the Airport
The new Linhares Regional Airport was inaugurated in April this year. In addition to the expansion of the runway, which is 1.860 meters long, the airport also received works to expand and renovate the enger terminal – which now has 735 m² – a new façade, reformulation of the internal areas and parking.
