Speaking of Iran and Israel, reports indicate a massive Iranian missile attack on strategic points in Israel, including the Nevatim air base, located in the Negev desert.

According to Iranian media and websites specializing in military aviation, the Nevatim base was heavily attacked, with dozens of fifth-generation F-35 fighters destroyed. Sources say more than 20 aircraft were destroyed.

Considered one of the most important air bases in Israel, Nevatim has three F-35I squadrons: 116 Squadron Lions of the South, 140 Squadron Golden Eagle, both combat squadrons, and 117 Squadron First Jet Squadron, training squadrons.

Being Iran's second major attack on Israel in 2024, it is estimated that around 200 projectiles were launched by the Iranians, highlighting that Israel's sophisticated air defense network has weaknesses, as reported by Military Watch Magazine.

It is not yet known what impact the Israeli Air Force (IAF) will have with the alleged loss of a significant number of F-35Is, but the IAF has also suffered losses in F-15s at Hatzerim Air Base, which is known for its flight academy capabilities. It is highly likely that Israel will launch a major strike against Iran in response.
