Last Saturday (23) we addressed the situation at ITA Transportes Aéreos, recently purchased by a new company, initially with no connection to the previous owner, Sidnei Piva Jr.
The possible new owner of ITA is Baufaker Consulting, located in Brasilia, headquartered in a co-working space. The company is in the name of Areta Honda Baufaker, ex-wife of real estate entrepreneur Galeb Baufaker Júnior.
And in an interview for Jornal O Globo (check out Clicking here) Baufaker told a little more about his planning for the new airline. Promising to restore regular flights with Itapemirim, reformulated and with a new name, Galeb says that the company should initially have five A320ceo aircraft.
However, first, ITA needs to solve its main problems, a debt of R$ 180 million, lack of consumer and market confidence, and restore its ANAC authorizations that allow flights with engers on board.
According to Baufaker, in the interview, he plans to pay off the company's debt with debt precatories, currently in court, without giving details of the six-month period for part of the debt to be paid off.
“The remainder will be monetized through my precatorios that are already being presented to two banks. Some lenders, such as leasing companies, may also be interested in these credits.”, said Galeb Baufaker Jr. in an interview with O Globo.
Galeb also stressed that he plans to manage the new airline with "foot on the ground" and without the madness of Sydney. The plan for 50 planes in the fleet is for after 15 years of flying, not the first 12 months, Caleb pointed out.
