On the aircraft, it is possible to see the JASDF symbol on the back of the Pegasus.

Japan signed in 2017 Foreign Military Sale (FMS) contract in 2017 for the sale of a KC-46 Pegasus aircraft. However, the order increased in 2018 to two aircraft from Revo.

Japan stands out for being the first international customer of the KC-46 Pegasus tanker. The aircraft's biggest customer is the USAF, which plans to acquire 179 units by 2027.
