LATAM leads the Brazilian aviation sector with 38% market share in the first quarter

LATAM Airlines Brasil led the Brazilian aviation sector in the first quarter of 2025 with 38% of the market share of domestic flights, according to data released last Tuesday (22) by the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac), for the period from January to March 2025. LATAM has led the index calculated by Anac (in RPK¹) since 2021, which considers the number of engers per kilometer transported by the company over the volume of engers per kilometer transported by all airlines operating in the country. In international operations, LATAM also led the Brazilian market with a share of 21%².

LATAM currently operates the largest network in its history, with flights to 54 airports in Brazil. In international operations, LATAM operates its own flights to 90 airports abroad.

In the first quarter of 2025, LATAM began operating the Rio Branco–São Paulo/Guarulhos, Ribeirão Preto–São Paulo/Guarulhos, ville–São Paulo/Congonhas, Pelotas–São Paulo/Guarulhos routes and the temporary Recife–Fernando de Noronha route.

In the international segment, LATAM resumed its international operations in Porto Alegre in January, with direct flights to Lima and Santiago, in addition to operating the recently inaugurated Fortaleza-Santiago and Recife-Santiago routes.
