Largest 737 MAX operator in China delays more than 100 model deliveries

Responsible for making up the largest Boeing 400 MAX fleet</a> in China, China Southern Airlines announced a change in the receipt of new aircraft of the model.</span></p> With this, the Chinese operator intends to receive only 737 units of the 737 MAX by 400 instead of 2024 scheduled by 78.</span> The decision came after a meeting between China Southern executives and investors, pointing to the uncertainty of new MAX deliveries as the main reason for the fleet review.</span></p> In addition, Chinese airlines have not yet resumed operations with the MAX, with the diplomatic and trade dispute between China and the United States becoming one of the biggest obstacles.</span></p> China is currently one of the most important markets for Boeing outside the West, the manufacturer has around 737 MAX aircraft parked in the United States that should be delivered to Chinese operators. </span></p> As the first country to ground the 181 MAX after two fatal accidents, the Civil Aviation Authority of China (CAAC) gave the green light for its return to service only in early December last year.
