“We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience and delay in their travel plans following Delta Flight 2911's low speed with Flight 1654. All customers and crew disembarked safely. Maintenance teams are assessing the condition of the aircraft and customers have been re-accommodated in new aircraft for their destinations”.

Although collisions between aircraft occur every year with a low margin, it is noteworthy that the incident occurred with two aircraft from the same airline, even more so at one of the busiest airports in the United States.
