The increases were programmed to expand takeoffs to Santiago de São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro , Curitiba, Florianópolis, Porto Alegre and Belo Horizonte, in addition to the new route from Brasília. The objective is to strengthen Brazil's international connectivity. Airline tickets for the new operations are now available on Latam and other sales channels.
In the South Region, starting in May, the Curitiba-Santiago route will increase from 4 to 6 weekly flights, while the Florianópolis-Santiago route will increase from 4 to 7 flights per week, reaching 10 weekly flights in July. Finally, the Rio de Janeiro/Galeão-Santiago route will increase from 20 to 26 weekly flights starting in July. This is the highest volume of flights on the route for the month mentioned since 2019.
On June 1st, it is worth ing that LATAM will begin operating the Brasília-Santiago route with three weekly flights. The new operation will more quickly connect engers boarding in cities such as Salvador, Recife, Fortaleza, João Pessoa, Teresina, Belém and Manaus to Chile and Oceania (Australia and New Zealand) and vice versa. At the same time, it is another opportunity to introduce international tourists to the attractions of the Brazilian Center-West.
