By making operational adjustments, the LATAM Group will have some of its flights operated with the Airbus A330-200 from Wamos Air, the operation will be under the wet-leasing model, when the aircraft and crew are outsourced. The reason for the temporary use of the A330 is precisely because of the retrofit on the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, an aircraft that operates mainly in the Chilean market and will receive the company's new business class.
Initially, Wamos Air's A330 will operate on routes from Santiago to the cities of Los Angeles, Lima and Bogotá. This is not the first time that LATAM has used Wamos Air aircraft, as in 2018 the Spanish company operated some flights with the Boeing 747-400. Wamos Air is a Spanish company specializing in aircraft leasing services.
