<p><p>Um acidente com um jato McDonnell Douglas MD-87 deixou pelo menos um ferido na tarde desta terça-feira (19), em Houston, Texas. A aeronave estava com 21 pessoas a bordo &#8211; três tripulantes e 18 ageiros &#8211; e todas escaparam. Apenas uma se feriu, reclamando de dores nas costas aos socorristas. </p>

<p>O jato de matrícula N987AK estava decolando do Aeroporto Executivo de Brookshire, Houston. A decolagem foi abortada, mas a aeronave não conseguiu parar a tempo, atravessando a pista e colidindo com as cercas do aeroporto, pegando fogo logo em seguida. A aeronave foi totalmente consumida pelas chamas. </p>
<p class="sc-bdVaJa dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-2 eMzIPv">Segundo o portal <em>Click2Houston</em>, o juiz de Waller County, Trey Duhon, disse que o avião foi fretado para Boston para o jogo 4 da American League Championship Series, a liga americana de beisebol. O Houston Astros está programado para jogar contra o Boston Red Sox no Fenway Park ainda hoje.</p>

<p>De acordo com o <em>Planespotters.net</em>, o jato foi fabricado em dezembro de 1987 e esteve em serviço com a Finnair, Aeromexico, Noybim LLC e Rice Aviation Group antes de ser adquirido pela 987 Investments LL em 2015. A empresa usava a aeronave para serviços de fretamento. A FAA e o NTSB já estão trabalhando para investigar as causas do acidente.</p>
