Afonso Pena International Airport will have more landings and take-offs to meet the demand of fans who will travel to Rio de Janeiro to watch the international artist Madonna's show. Between May 2nd and 4th, there will be 5 extra takeoffs from Curitiba to the capital of Rio de Janeiro, an increase of more than 20%, compared to flights ed in regular operations. Upon return, on May 4th to 6th, growth will be over 30%.
The queen of POP arrived last Monday (29) in the wonderful city, for a free show, which will take place next Saturday, May 4th, on the Copacabana waterfront. Around 1,5 million people are expected, and it could become the singer's biggest performance. Fans are more excited than ever and are organizing themselves to participate in the event that celebrates Madonna's 40th anniversary. To this end, airlines and airports across the country are preparing to the extra movement that will occur during the period.
Aware of the situation and working preventively, CCR Aeroportos reinforces its team and is prepared to welcome the North American star's fans while they travel, as explained by the Manager of Afonso Pena International Airport, Eden Pisani Junior. “We always monitor the movement of events that may impact the airport’s operations, so we are able to predict demands that may arise well in advance. This allows us to have a more efficient and effective organization to serve not only those who are going to see Madonna, but also all engers. We want all of the singer’s fans to have a great experience at the show and also while using our air terminal”, highlights Eden.
