Ministry of Tourism and Caixa launch credit program to encourage travel in the country

Federal civil servants, INSS retirees and pensioners, as well as Caixa credit card customers will have yet another incentive for Brazilians to travel more around the country.

The Ministry of Tourism and Caixa launched, this Wednesday (30.03), the “+ Credit + Tourism” program, which provides easier credit and installment payments for individuals to acquire tourist services in Brazil.

The initiative will also include sector entrepreneurs, as Caixa will provide more attractive products and conditions to leverage business and strengthen domestic tourism in the country.

The Minister of Tourism, Gilson Machado Neto, highlighted the importance of the project to boost the recovery of the sector and encourage more Brazilians to get to know Brazil.

“This program will be a milestone for tourism and for the country. It will benefit our people with more financial opportunities and thereby stimulate the economy. Thus, we will provide the development of our attractions and, at the same time, generate income for those who make their living from tourism”, scored.

The program will serve federal civil servants and INSS retirees and pensioners, including negative ones, with payroll-deductible credit to travel around the country.

Payment can be made in up to 96 installments for the first group and up to 84 months for the second. The credit can be obtained directly from tourism companies ed in the Cadastur ( of Tourist Service Providers of the Ministry of Tourism), in addition to those with an agreement with Caixa.

Payment facilities should also reach any citizen who has a Caixa credit card.

With this, it will be possible to pay in up to 21 interest-free installments any tourist product or service at travel agencies, hotels, inns, resorts, theme and water parks, for example.

Caixa's vice-president of Strategy and People Management, André Nunes, highlighted the bank's role in boosting Brazilian tourism.

“This agreement is an opportunity to reinforce the role of Caixa Econômica, as an executing agent of public policies with the federal government, to expand access to tourism products and services, collaborating with the recovery of the economy and with the promotion of national tourism” , said.

To participate in the initiative, tourism companies must with Cadastur and look for the nearest Caixa Econômica branch to learn about the process, complete the registration and the training offered by the bank.

After this specific certification for payroll loans, it will be possible to offer the new payment method to customers. The company that performs the service will be remunerated at 2% of the net value of the payroll loan.
