This Tuesday (27), Pampulha Airport, under the management of CCR Aeroportos, and the CCR Institute held a special event at Escola Municipal Maria Silveira, in Belo Horizonte. The action, which is part of CCR's National Volunteer Week, included planting seedlings, recreational activities and paintings, in honor of National Volunteer Day, celebrated on September 28th.
According to Fabiano Reis, manager of Pampulha Airport, the airport teams' initiative aimed to revitalize the school's garden by planting various vegetables, such as cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, rosemary, mint and basil. “This planting aims to provide students with a practical and enriching experience on the importance of growing food. Furthermore, we are excited to collaborate to improve the school environment and offer a more pleasant and stimulating space for children and teenagers.”.
Small repairs, including painting the school walls, were part of the activity, with the aim of renewing the space and making it more inviting. CCR Aeroportos teams carried out recreational activities with educational games, highlighting the dangers of flying kites near the airport and the use of wax.
“The action reinforces CCR Aeroportos’ commitment to the community, promoting improvements and contributing to the well-being of children, in line with the concessionaire’s social responsibility values.” commented in a publication about the action.
