In May 2024, Porto Alegre Airport faced one of the most challenging moments in its history. The airport, which connects RS and the world, was flooded by the flood that had been spreading across the state of Rio Grande do Sul since April.
The terminal closed on May 3, was flooded for 23 days and remained without flights for almost five months. A year later, the space operates without any type of restriction and commemorates the episode through the exhibition “Beyond the Waters: Memories & Reconstruction”.
The exhibition will open this Friday (2/05), starting at 9 am, and is open to the public and free of charge. The images are on the 2nd floor of the Terminal, to the right of the domestic check-in.
