Mechanical failures, equipment malfunctions or technical issues discovered during scheduled maintenance can result in an aircraft having to remain on the ground (Aircraft On Ground – AOG) until necessary parts are obtained and repairs are completed. AOG requirements are increasing and changing as international demand for travel and cargo increases, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) service providers and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) become more globalized, and domestic aerospace industries are growing at a rapid pace.
To meet these market requirements, Qatar Airways Cargo has launched a new product designed based on customer , offering a tailored time-critical logistics solution for manufacturers, freight forwarders and partners working with commercial airlines, as well as those serving the defence and space technology sectors. AEROSPACE provides fast-track transportation for traditional AOG commodities (commercial aircraft engines and spare parts), as well as for all other types of critical aerospace parts and components, such as avionics, electric propulsion equipment, fuselage interiors, landing gear and more.
Qatar Airways Cargo's global network consists of 28 Boeing 777 freighters and 230 hold enger aircraft.
