Video: RAF C-17 demonstrates its rapid take-off capability at UK airport

A video posted by flugsnug channel, shows a Royal Air Force (RAF) C-17 Globemaster III, belonging to 99 Squadron, operating at Birmingham Airport, United Kingdom.

However, what draws attention in the video is the take-off part, the American-made military freighter took off quickly, thus showing one of the tactical characteristics of the aircraft.

 

Among its main features are the logistical transport of cargo, soldiers and paratroopers, transport of vehicles such as jeeps and tanks, as well as helicopters. The maximum load capacity is 27,216 kg.

The plane can operate on unpaved runways, something that has already happened in the Middle East, on missions in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Today, the following air forces operate the aircraft: USA, UK, Australia, UAE, Canada, Qatar, India and Kuwait.
