Red Arrows fighter jets fly in formation with a British Airways Boeing 747

British Airways, in partnership with the RAF demonstration team named Red Arrows, made a magnificent aerial demonstration this Saturday (20/07) at RAF Air Base, in Gloucestershire.

In celebration of the company's 100th anniversary, a British Airways Boeing 747-400, equipped with a livery reminiscent of the days of the British Overseas Airways Corporate (BOAC), performed a low in conjunction with Red Arrows fighter jets, fulfilling flight BA100 .

The Red Arrows and Boeing 747 received a warm round of applause from the crowd gathered at the venue, it is common for RIAT 2019 to receive a huge amount of visitors.

Captain Richard Allen-William, who was in command of the British Airways aircraft, said: “We hope that the age of the Boeing 747 in Boac livery provided a wonderfully nostalgic moment for the Air Tattoo audience this Saturday. It was a great honor for us to fly alongside the Red Arrows at RAF Fairford base and to do so in our centenary year is even more special.”
