The note continues to inform that the milling and repaving of the taxilane that connects Patio 1 to taxiways and taxiway M4 have already been completed. Furthermore, 1.200 meters from the landing and take-off runway and the taxiway F were milled, out of a total of approximately 2.300 meters to be recovered.

The milling of taxiway D is underway this week. Upon completion of this phase, a bonding paint will be applied to promote adhesion between the slab and subsequent asphalt layers, allowing the track to reach its original height.

Meanwhile, an asphalt plant is under construction at the aerodrome itself, with the aim of speeding up recovery. Due to the geotechnical characteristics of the terrain, it is necessary to use different types of asphalt to reconstruct the landing and take-off runway, taxilane e taxiways.

“Different resistance tests are carried out for each composition, to ensure that the recipe is suitable for the location in which it will be applied”, explains Cássio.

With the aim of accelerating the progress of the works, Fraport Brasil is using two asphalt plants – including the one being built at the airport itself – in addition to counting on the supply of inputs from four quarries and an exclusive supplier of bituminous binder for this work.
