Meet the Ilyushin IL-76

The Ilyushin Il-76 is a Soviet aircraft developed by Ilyushin in the mid-1960s, when the Soviet Air Force requested the development of a cargo jet aircraft to replace the Antonov An-12. The aircraft is 47m long, has a wingspan of 50m and has a maximum speed of 850 km/h. Currently, the model has the majority of its operations in Eastern Europe, as well as in the Gulf countries and the Middle East.
Recently, the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) announced a modernized version of the model: the IL-76MD-90A. Despite the external similarity, the new version has several differences from its predecessor due to the modernization of the avionics and hydraulic systems, as well as the inclusion of more modern and efficient engines.
