The sale of airline tickets was authorized from August 9th. The resumption of flights will be gradual, with 128 daily operations (landings and takeoffs) scheduled from 8 am to 22 pm. Before the temporary interruption, Porto Alegre airport received flights from six airlines in the national market.

The National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac) will distribute slots and times, determining how many flights each airline will be able to operate initially.

“We are authorizing, starting tomorrow, the resumption of the sale of airline tickets to the state of Rio Grande do Sul, to Salgado Filho Airport. There will be 128 daily flights, equivalent to more than 900 weekly flights, which is equivalent to more than 3 thousand flights per month. So this will, without a doubt, accelerate the recovery of the State’s economy”. Said Silvio Costa Filho, Minister of Ports and Airports last Thursday.
