After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Esquadrilha da Fumaça resumed public performance activities in early March. In all, 17 demonstrations have already been carried out this year, seven during FIDAE 2022 in Chile, where it was highlighted representing the FAB.

The last two demonstrations took place in Porto Seguro (BA) and Ipatinga (MG), celebrating the 522nd anniversary of the discovery of Brazil and the anniversary of the Cidades do Vale do Aço, respectively.

The mission of the unit is “to carry out aerial demonstrations in order to disseminate, nationally and internationally, the institutional image of the Brazilian Air Force”. Its head office is the Academia da Força Aérea, in Pirassununga (SP).
