In this edition, Embraer proudly demonstrated the full capabilities of its military transport to the President of South Africa, Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa, and the Minister of Defence, Angie Motshekga. The new aircraft attracted great interest from the South African National Defence Force (SANDF), which had the opportunity to evaluate it.
“Embraer acknowledges the professionalism and dedication of the SANDF during the ongoing selection process to renew its airlift fleet, as the C-390 is an important strategic asset that offers exceptional versatility, range and speed. We are confident that the aircraft is well suited to meet the needs of the South African National Defence Force, as well as other government authorities.”, said Bosco da Costa Junior, president and CEO of Embraer Defense & Security.
Capable of transporting up to 26 tons of cargo quickly, the aircraft is known for performing a wide variety of missions under the most challenging operational conditions.
