Aircraft leasing company SMBC Aviation Capital announced on Wednesday (5) the g of contracts with Thai Airways, from Thailand, for eight Airbus A321neo.
The units are part of SMBC Aviation Capital's direct order from the manufacturer and are scheduled for delivery in 2026 and 2027. They will be incorporated into the fleet as part of the company's regional network expansion strategy.
“The Airbus A321neo will not only increase Thai Airways’ operational efficiency, but will also enhance the overall enger experience by offering more comfort and advanced features, while also contributing to a more sustainable aviation industry,” said Conor Stafford, Head of Airline Marketing at SMBC Aviation Capital.
Currently, the Thai airline has more than eighty aircraft in its fleet, serving domestic and international destinations.
